  • 1 cup roasted rice flour (Varutha Appa Podi)
  • 2 tablespoons corn flour
  • ½ teaspoon turmeric powder
  • ¼ teaspoon cumin (small jeera) powder
  • 1 teaspoon black sesame seeds (ellu)
  • ¼ teaspoon cardamom powder
  • 1 teaspoon brown sugar or palm sugar (optional)
  • 1 pinch salt
  • Oil for deep frying

  1. Peel the ripe bananas and cut them lengthwise into quarters. If long, cut into halves for easy handling. Overripe bananas work best.
  2. In a bowl, mix roasted rice flour and corn flour.
