What is your favorite hobby or pastime?
One of my favorite ways to spend time is through designing and writing. These two creative outlets bring me a sense of purpose and expression that I haven’t found anywhere else. Designing allows me to think visually — to take ideas that might be messy or abstract and shape them into something clear, balanced, and beautiful. I love playing with colors, layouts, and typography, experimenting with how each element communicates something even before a single word is read.
Writing, on the other hand, gives me space to reflect and connect. It’s my way of organizing thoughts, sharing experiences, and exploring new ideas. Whether it’s a blog post, a personal story, or even just a few lines in a notebook, writing helps me make sense of things. It’s not always easy, but that challenge is part of what keeps me coming back. It teaches me patience, sharpens my thinking, and reminds me of the power that words can hold.
What I love most, though, is when I bring these two passions together. When I write something and then design the space it lives in — like a blog or a digital project — it feels like I’m telling the full story. Not just through the words themselves, but through how they’re presented, how they feel, how they flow. The design becomes an extension of the message, and the message becomes more impactful because of the design.
For anyone who enjoys either writing or design, I really recommend trying the other. They support each other in unexpected ways, and together, they create something much bigger than the sum of their parts. Starting a blog, making a small digital journal, or even designing a post for social media can be a great way to explore that intersection. You don’t need to be perfect — just curious and willing to start.
