Two Tickets, A Trip Worth Sharing

If you won two free plane tickets, where would you go?

Winning two free plane tickets—what an exciting thought! But right after the thrill comes the question that changes everything: are the two tickets meant for one person’s round trip, or are they for two people to travel together? It’s a small detail that makes a big difference.

If those tickets are for two people, there’s no hesitation in my answer. I would love to visit the USA with my son. Just imagining the journey brings a smile—exploring new places, sharing moments of awe, and creating memories that would last a lifetime. Whether it’s walking through the busy streets of New York, catching the magic of Disney, or simply enjoying a quiet meal in an unfamiliar café, it would all mean so much more with him by my side.

But if it turns out the tickets are for just one person’s to-and-fro travel, the excitement dims. I wouldn’t want to go alone. For me, travel isn’t just about seeing new places—it’s about sharing the experience. I can’t picture myself wandering unfamiliar cities with no one to laugh with, talk to, or get lost with. It’s the shared wonder, the spontaneous conversations, the little jokes and shared silences that make travel feel alive. Without that, the journey would feel incomplete—almost hollow.

So yes, I’d go if I could take my son. We’d plan together, dream together, and discover together. That’s what travel means to me—connection, togetherness, and stories we’d tell for years to come. Otherwise, I’d rather let the dream wait a little longer… until we can both go, not just for the sights, but for the joy of being there together.
