“Bread, Butter & a Keyboard”

Your life without a computer: what does it look like?

If you ask me to imagine a life without a computer, the immediate, visceral answer is this: it would feel like a body without breath.

For many, a computer is a piece of technology, an appliance on the desk. For me, it’s far more fundamental. It isn’t a luxury; it’s my bread and butter. It has completely merged with my existence as a thinker, writer, and connector.

This machine is my digital extension, transforming my abstract thoughts into tangible words and giving my ideas the wings they need to fly. It’s my pen, my paper, and my vast, boundless window to the world. It’s where my professional life happens, where I craft my work, and where I share the most essential pieces of myself with others—whether that’s a fleeting thought or a finished project.

To suddenly lose it would mean feeling utterly cut off. It would be like silencing a singer mid-note, leaving me stranded without a voice in the choir of the modern world. My computer isn’t just a tool; it is the vital link that keeps my internal life expressed and my external connections alive.
