Along my journey there were those who dismissed my dreams, reminding me that there were English Literature postgraduates more worthy of recognition. They tried to confine my aspirations within the boundaries of their limited imagination. Yet, I stood resilient, knowing that my voice deserved to be heard, regardless of degrees or societal expectations.
Amidst the challenges, a silver lining emerged during the COVID-19 lockdown. Encouraged by my son, I reignited my passion for writing. With determination as my compass, I navigated the world of publishing, and thanks to platforms like Amazon and Word Press my words found their way to eager readers.
But my journey didn’t stop there. I embraced the criticism, turning it into fuel for personal growth. Those who mocked my design skills witnessed a transformation as I not only embraced but excelled in crafting visually stunning book covers, logos, banners, and more. The lotus seed they tried to bury in the dirtiest places sprouted and blossomed into a garden of creativity.
Today, I stand tall, not just as an author but as a multifaceted individual who turned adversity into an opportunity for self-discovery and reinvention. The precious gem within me, polished by the abrasion of jealousy and selfishness, now shines brightly for all to see.
