A Personal Story of Desire and Abundance

There’s something magical about the universe, something that whispers to us that everything we desire is already waiting for us. For me, today, that belief grew stronger than ever.

In my neighbor’s yard, there stands a massive mango tree. Its branches stretch wide, almost as if they are reaching out to my house. This year, the tree is overflowing with mangoes—big, golden fruits that seem to shine under the sun. Even the unripe ones are something special; they’re not sour like most raw mangoes but have a taste that reminds me of guavas. It’s a unique variety, one that I’ve come to look forward to every year.

The sight of those plump mangoes has become a daily part of my life. Every morning, as I look out of my window, the first thing I see are the ripe mangoes hanging on those branches. And every night, just before I close my windows to sleep, they are the last thing I notice—like a gentle reminder of the simple pleasures that nature offers.

Now, I’ve seen others take the mangoes. Some would pluck them without permission, and while I could easily do the same, my mind wouldn’t allow it. It didn’t feel right to take something that wasn’t mine, and I didn’t want to ask my neighbors for the privilege either. I came to learn that they had already sold the mangoes to someone who had purchased them while they were still in bloom, long before the fruit was ready to be harvested.

But the desire for those mangoes lingered. Every day, I told myself, “I’ll get what I desire.” I didn’t know how, but I trusted that the universe would provide in its own perfect way. And then, something amazing happened.

This morning, as I gazed out my window, I saw people with large sticks and baskets, plucking the mangoes from the tree. I thought to myself, “I’d love to buy some of those mangoes,” but I was told that they wouldn’t be selling them on-site. The mangoes were already promised to shopkeepers, bought and paid for before they even ripened.

But then came the surprise. Later this day, someone brought me the very same mangoes I had been admiring, and not just one or two, but more than I had even dared to desire. And the best part? They were given to me for free. I couldn’t believe it. How could it be that the universe had heard my quiet wish and delivered exactly what I wanted, even more than I had imagined?

In that moment, something clicked inside me. The universe is generous beyond measure, always waiting to give us exactly what we need. Just like the birds and animals that find food without needing to sow, reap, or store, we too are cared for. The abundance is always there, just waiting for us to open our hearts and trust in its flow.

This experience has deepened my belief that everything I desire—whether big or small—is already on its way to me. The universe is abundant, and it is always ready to support us in ways we may not even expect. It’s up to us to stay open, to believe, and to be ready to receive.

So, thank you to the universe. Thank you to my creator. I am filled with gratitude, and I move forward with a heart full of trust, knowing that whatever I desire will come, in its own perfect time.
