The first hour of my day is my sacred time, a ritual that helps me ground myself and set a positive tone for the rest of the day. I wake up gently, still nestled in bed, and start by doing a few stretches and breathing exercises. It’s like a quiet invitation to the body to wake up without rush, just allowing the energy to flow naturally.
I then recite the Gayatri Mantra, my heart full of gratitude and intention. I pray for peace in the world, for wisdom and compassion to guide our leaders, especially in my state. I think of the soldiers, the brave souls who stand at the borders, and those who have sacrificed their lives for our safety. I send my prayers to the army, navy, air force, Judges, Advocates and police forces who serve with courage and dedication. In this moment, I also remember my siblings and dear ones—those who are no longer with me, and those who are still alive, sending them love and light.
As my thoughts gently move to those in need, I offer my prayers for those who’ve lost their health or are facing struggles, hoping they find strength and healing.
Next, I move into a few light Yogic exercises, stretching my body, awakening it slowly, and getting it ready for the day ahead. After this, I follow my usual morning routine—getting fresh, taking a bath, and allowing the water to cleanse not just my body, but my mind too.
Then, I settle into Pranayama, taking deep, deliberate breaths that fill my lungs and calm my spirit. I follow that with a short meditation, a quiet space where I center myself, letting go of any tension and inviting peace in.
While I prepare breakfast, I play the chanting of the Gayatri Mantra in the background. The soft repetition is so soothing—it’s like a mental embrace, grounding me in peace and clarity as the day begins.
This entire routine, about one to two hours, is more than just a habit. It’s a spiritual pause, a moment of gratitude and connection to something greater. It centers me, calms me, and gives me the energy to face whatever the day brings.
