Daily writing prompt
Are there any activities or hobbies you’ve outgrown or lost interest in over time?

In the early days of my gardening venture, cultivating vegetables and fruits held a special place in my heart. The anticipation of nurturing seeds into flourishing plants brought joy and satisfaction. However, as time passed, a persistent challenge emerged that gradually eroded my enthusiasm. The once-thriving garden became a battleground for survival, as animals, birds, and insects relentlessly wreaked havoc on the fruits of my labor.

The relentless assault from nature’s inhabitants left me disheartened and frustrated. Despite implementing various protective measures, the invaders proved to be cunning adversaries, determined to savor the fruits of my labor before I could. The continuous cycle of planting, nurturing, and witnessing the decimation of my harvest took a toll on my passion for gardening. The sense of defeat overshadowed the joy that once accompanied the sight of a bountiful garden, leading me to reconsider the sustainability of my chosen hobby.

As I reflect on my gardening journey, I recognize the inevitability of change and the ebb and flow of interests. While the challenges posed by wildlife may have dampened my enthusiasm for cultivating fruits and vegetables, I acknowledge that the world of hobbies is vast and ever-evolving. Perhaps, in time, I will find a new pursuit that aligns better with the current chapter of my life.
