In my perspective, a good leader is someone who consistently uplifts those around them, inspiring and enabling them to reach their full potential. A leader believes in setting a positive example, embodying the values and work ethic that he or she expects from the team. It’s crucial to create an environment where individuals feel protected, both professionally and personally, fostering a sense of security and trust within the team. A leader should be a good listener.

Taking criticisms upon oneself is a practice to hold dear. A good leader acknowledges his or her shortcomings, openly accepts feedback, and actively works towards personal and professional growth. By doing so, cultivate a culture where mistakes are seen as opportunities for learning and improvement, rather than as failures.

Overlooking or correcting mistakes within the team is paramount for better overall performance. A true leader strives to lead with empathy and understanding, addressing issues constructively and guiding the team towards success. Ultimately, good leader’s goal is to empower those they lead, bringing out the best in each individual and creating a collaborative and innovative work environment.
