In their memory, I want to express that I haven’t kept up the Christian traditions of my parents. While they were devout Christians and actively participated in religious activities, my own spiritual journey has led me down a different path. Growing up, I encountered various perspectives and beliefs and I found myself drawn to a more secular and inclusive worldview. I decided to explore and question my own spirituality, leading me to embrace a more open-minded approach. Rather than adhering to specific religious rituals, I focus on personal growth, mindfulness, and being a good person based on universal values like kindness, compassion, and empathy.
I respect my parents’ faith and the values they instilled in me, but I’ve chosen a different path that aligns more closely with my own understanding of the world and me.
Even though my parents are no longer with me, I believe they would have understood and supported my choices. I cherish the values and love they imparted during their lives and hold onto those as a cherished part of their legacy. While we may have had differing beliefs, the bond of love and respect remains strong in my heart.
In memory of my parents, I continue to honor the lessons they taught me and strive to live a life that reflects the core principles they held dear, even if I have chosen a different spiritual path.
