Peal off the skin of the Jack fruit, cut into pieces and soak in water for 10 minutes then remove from water ane put in a pressure cooker, add a cup of water and salt, pressure cook for 3 whistles. Chick peas have to be socked in water over night or 6 to 8 hours. Cut the onions into fine pieces and place in a frying pan or cooking vessel add some oil and saute well, when oil begins to show up add curry leaves, green chilli, and all the masala as well as coconut and saute for few minutes till good smell comes out and the ingredients stops sticking to the pan.

Add more salt if needed. Put cooked jackfruit without water. Break all the bits into fine then add the ground chickpeas smash everything and saute well till it leaves the sides of the pan can add little more coconut oil so that the gum of the jack fruit will disappear.

Once ready remove the pan and allow it to cool.  In the meantime break an egg, beat and keep ready.

Make small balls of the jackfruit and form into desired shapes. Heat some oil in a pan, dip each jackfruit ball in the egg and place in the pan and cook till golden colour, turn and cook both the sides and enjoy the awesome vegetable cutlet during this fasting season.
