Mango season in India is about to begin and you see mangoes everywhere on trees and in market. Prawn mango chutney is a much sought dish of Kerala during mango season and it tastes really yummy! So let me dash in and bring out a recipe for your trial.
Ingredients
- Dry Prawns – 3 Table-spoons
- Mango small pieces – 3 Table-spoons
- Green Chilli – 1
- Small Onion – 1
- Salt – To taste
- Curry leaves – 2 leaves
- Grated Coconut – 4 Table spoons
Preparation
Wash, clean and remove the heads of the prawns. Roast the prawns and grind in a mixi jar.
Include mango, green chilli, curry leaves, onion and salt and make a paste, then add coconut and grind; empty the jar into a bowel, mix well and serve. Eat with hot rice and you will always grab mangoes and prawns to make this easy and yummy chutney. If the mango is too sour, lessen quantity. Those who like it very spicy could add more green chilli or chilli powder. It’s a very good combination which tastes simply awesome!
